About Grace Church Williamsburg

Is Grace Church affiliated with a denomination?

Grace Church Williamsburg is a nondenominational church with baptistic beliefs. Our theological distinctives include expository preaching, Christ-centered teaching, a high view of God, a high view of Scripture, and a commitment to being a gracious people who walk together in humility, patience, love, and unity. You can read our complete doctrinal statement and church documents.

What does Grace Church believe?

We believe in one God who eternally exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and that the Bible is His authoritative and trustworthy Word. God created humanity in His image, but all people are separated from Him by sin and cannot save themselves. Jesus Christ, fully God and fully man, lived without sin, died as the sacrifice for sinners, rose bodily from the dead, and will return. Salvation is entirely a gift of God’s grace, received through repentance and faith in Christ alone, not earned by good works. Those who trust in Christ are forgiven, made new by the Holy Spirit, brought into the church, and called to grow in godliness while awaiting resurrection and eternal life with God.

A fuller explanation of these beliefs is available in our Statement of Faith.
